What was your favourite part of the trailer and why?

1.Shot of the shadow on the side of the house: clever + symbolic
When the teenagers are first seen from the other side of the road and the            music changes: eerie + ominous

2. The bit when the camera cuts to the gang walking down the road in the dark because its quite intimidating and tense

3. Background music was effective and not too imposing/overly dramatic, built up tension and suspense. Lighting used well. Set/general action was realistic and to not too contrived.

4. Good use of music. Simplistic  - not a sensory overload! Didn’t give too much away.

5. I think by the end of the trailer there was actually a tense build up that was increased by the music choice. Good Job! Good camera shots

6. The end with the writing and heartbeat thing + close up of skin

7. my favourite part was towards the end when the tension is building and you keep seeing shadows but it is not clear who they belong to because its very tense and intruiging.

8. The bit with the Tv, very cool and scary and original

9. I think by the end of the trailer there was a actually a tense build up that was increased by the music choice good job! Good camera shots

10. Seeing the protagonists witht they hands tied behind them. Because it implied something deeper was going on than just a murder plot

11. When kalyani dropped the plate the combination of sound and vision made me jump. A close second was when the camera approaches the couple sleeping as I felt a real sense of unease.

12. The montage because it had the most aspects of horror and made it seem more fast pace – but it wouldn’t of been good without suspense and build up from rest of trailer.

Was there anything in the trailer that was less satisfactory? If yes please expand

1. the digetic sound could be improved

2. No

3. More interest in character/ who the others may be

4. No

6. Bit with the blood and smashed plate

7. maybe more background into who the characters were (Thee couple). Eg where they came from.

8. Was hard to get an idea of what the film is about ( bit confusin / intruiuging)

9. Slightly unclear of what was going on with axe/door – not the most clear portrayal of bad guy etc

10. Perhaps more of a hint towards the  motives of the attackers/ interplay between attackers/victims

11.sometimes the sound didn’t synchronise with the image but maybe that was intentional.

12. no

We hosted our world premiere of our trailer at a lunch time and invited a range of people to come to the viewing, and then fill out a questionnaire with their thoughts. We got a big range of responses both negative and positive. Of the quantitative data we have made some graphs to display this information.
