One of the top and best known production companies is Lionsgate. They are an independent company  who have been involved in over 13,000 titles, who are known for producing Film and other sorts of media to a high standard and popularity rating. One thing that sets them apart is that they produce e a very wide range of film genres and have cultivated a popular audience. They are able to please fans of each genre and has succeeding in planting a secure footing in each, examples of their films range from 'The Twilight Saga' to 'Saw' and to 'The Hunger Games'.

 

Lions gate have also successfully distributed many of the most famous and coveted horror films, and when doing so make use of this snazzy horror themed ident. It is their normal ident but stained blood red, creating a dark and dangerous atmosphere. Those who are familiar with the normal Lionsgate ident will instantly recognize this version as different and even those who don't will understand what it implies of the film to come
Of their horror film branch they have produced films like 'The Cabin in the woods' and the 'Saw' franchise meaning that they are well known for producing A Grade horror films.






One other horror film institution is Hammer Film Production. Set up in 1934 they produced some of the early quintessential horror films such as 'Dracula' and 'The curse of Frankenstein'. They were dominating the horror film and television market for many years until they went under in 1980. But came back with a bang in 2008, going on to make the 'Woman in Black'. Hammer films could be viewed as 'The Godfather' of Horror films, as they were creating them from the very start.

Hammer films are good for creating films that are not budget busting but still pack an almighty punch. Their Ident features many stills from their films in a psudeo slideshow flipbook, very similar to the marvel ident.

Universal films is one the most powerful, well known and successful film institutions in the business. Although most of their films are focused on the genres like Drama, adventure and romance they have dabbled in horror films bringing their experience; most notably they created 'The Strangers' one of our key influence films. They have had mixed success with their horror films but otherwise are a strong production company. Other horros they have made are 'Drag me to hell' and worked with Hammer to produce 'Dracula'

Their Ident for horror films is the same as their normal one, but is still a very recognizable ident, that does look awfully cool.
