The trailer starts with a panning camera for an establishing shot as its setting the location of the film.
The trailer starts of slow and with and an unusual and confusing piece of dialogue The USP, (You maybe hearing a lot of things about me and your uncle', 'whatever I hear I wont believe', 'no, you believe it, I did all of it'.)
The location of Texas is also a USP. There is a very warm, yellowy hue and lots of shots used in the trailer of desert land. Also, the clips of text are yellow and dusty looking and are also sometimes of wheat, giving the impression of hot Texas.
The genre of the film (crime thriller) is established very quickly through the clips of men in balaclavas, smashing glass and running away with a briefcase.
The trailer starts with little music, just a booming sound effect add tension, and eerie atmospheric sound. Then there is a fast drum beat to show the film developing a faster pace and excitement. Then there tense music while we see a bank robbery happening. From then to the end, there is a much more emotional song that builds, adding excitement and emotion to the film. The different aspects of sound throughout the film, suggest many different stages of the film, i.e., slow and tense, then thrilling then tense again and then a big finale.
